I adore hand made items be they made by the lady trying to support her kids, the guy who’s retired with extra time on his hands, or even the person with the soul of an artist who isn’t in the “in” crowd.
I suppose that’s why I get so miffed at Heidi Klum sometimes when she starts criticizing that something that went down the runway looked home sewn. Pray tell what is wrong with home sewn? It is a look all it’s own sometimes with its own deep roots and traditions, not everything needs to look like it was made by some factory. That’s boring. I know what she is trying to say is that the person messed up a seam or the fabric is wrinkling but that is not an indication of something home sewn, thank you very much, it is a sign that the designer had an issue.
:::sniff:::
Don’t mind me, lol.
I guess what I’m trying to say is that Hand Made, Home Made, items that come from our very heart, are things that are to be cherished for years to come no matter if someone else says it’s the in thing or not, ultimately it’s about you and what you like.
